Comesto Ltd is an online marketing platform that introduces independent food and drink brands to trade buyers.
In early 2017, still in its infancy and needing finance to build its platform, Comesto was able to secure £20,000 through Coventry and Warwickshire Reinvestment Trust (CWRT), an accredited lender under the Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme.
The EFG-backed finance gave Comesto the positive cash flow it needed to open its first office. It also helped the business to cut down the build time for its platform so it could go to market faster.
Securing funding was the catalyst that got the project off the ground, helped us prove the validity of a new concept and has now set us on the road to something much larger than originally planned. Valentine Smith director of Comesto
