Simply Asset Finance was founded in April 2017 by a team of asset finance specialists, in response to the need for innovation and disruption in the sector. Simply have provided over £750m of funding to over 8,000 UK smaller businesses across the country through the ENABLE Funding programme.

Sherbet Taxi is a leading eco-friendly electric taxi company based in London that accessed finance through Simply Asset Finance via the ENABLE Funding programme to recover after the Covid-19 pandemic, and replace their fleet from diesel to electric LEVC black cabs with the aim to build a stronger and healthier city with their iconic black taxis.

Lucky Saint completed a Series A funding round with JamJar Investments, supported by the Bank’s Enterprise Capital Funds programme. This capital allowed the business to grow its team and provided the funding to open the Lucky Saint pub.

When Beth Heath used a Bounce Back Loan to protect her business in Shropshire, the loan not only boosted the cashflow of her award-winning festival company, but also gave her an opportunity to support her local community during lockdown.

Owner of the Thomas Paine Hotel in Norfolk, Gez Chetal used the Recovery Loan Scheme to not only help his business, but to assist ex-offenders to gain employment in the hospitality industry.

Diversity Business Incubator (DBI)

Based in Plymouth, DBI is a business hub for minority ethnic entrepreneurs that assists with advice and provides support to help businesses grow. DBI took out a Bounce Back Loan to help support his local community during the pandemic.

Twynham House Nursery School

The business received an initial Bounce Back Loan (BBLS) before paying it off and moving to a Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan (CBILS) via SWIG Finance. They then successfully applied for a Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS) of £50,000 to invest in the business to take it forward and grow.

With COVID-19 putting housebuilding on hold, Birmingham’s Edward Thomas Interiors couldn’t design and install its showhomes as normal. Forced to furlough 16 of its staff, the company applied for funds via the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) to ensure its survival.

Founded in 2015, Change Please is an award-winning social enterprise through their Barista Training Programme, they train homeless people to become baristas and support them by selling great tasting coffee. In order for them to stay ahead and continue growing, they accessed a Recovery Loan Scheme.

Wild Cosmetics, based in London, is on a mission to remove single use plastic and create high performing natural formulations that allow customers to switch to more sustainable everyday bathroom products.

Arc Marine

ARC Marine received £1m in equity investment from the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Investment Fund (CIOSIF) in a deal led by the FSE Group, enabling the company to create at least six new positions over the next three years.

The Whisky Chairmen received a Start Up Loan of £13,000 through delivery partner Transmit, which helped to provide the essential tooling, materials, rent and insurances needed to establish the business.
