British Business Bank: Can you tell us what your company does?

Fanny Saint-Pasteur, Head of Marketing at White Light:

White Light is a technical solutions specialist operating in a range of markets such as theatre, corporate events, broadcast, live music, themed attractions, education, retail, and leisure. Since our formation in 1971, we have been supplying technical solutions including lighting, audio, video and rigging to projects of all sizes across the UK, Europe and worldwide.

Explain why you wanted finance?

White Light required finance to purchase new equipment for the latest West-End shows. It was also used to invest in a range of brand-new cutting-edge technologies to continue developing and expanding our broadcast and innovations departments.

How would you sum up what getting this finance has meant to you and your business?

Following the outbreak of Covid-19 and the impact this had on our entire sector, the finance has been pivotal in allowing us to continue working with our clients, supplying them with the latest technical innovations as well as develop new solutions to help our customers adapt to an ever-changing world.

After a very hard 18 months, our plan is to rebuild after the pandemic and continue on the growth trajectory that we set ourselves pre-pandemic.

Fanny Saint-Pasteur, Head of Marketing at White Light
