Gymfinity Kids, established in 2017, operate a series of activity clubs for children aged 3+ across six sites.

The business was created to fulfil a vision that would allow children interested in recreational gymnastics the chance to feel like a true gymnast or ninja, week in, week out. Day nurseries are also provided in most clubs, with children having access to gym classes which help them to thrive in all seven areas of child development.
Gymfinity Kids required funding through the pandemic to provide a safer environment for both employees and customers at four of its sites: Huddersfield, Hampshire, Ripon and Skipton. This was achieved with the installation of new fogging machines to help disinfect sites against the spread of Covid-19. Additional funding was also secured to improve security measures, from the installation of access control gates to further gymnasium equipment such as padded flooring and activity tables.
As a business that primarily caters for children, security is paramount for our operations, as is ensuring we take site hygiene seriously by installing virus prevention measures. Shire Leasing, supported by the British Business Bank’s ENABLE Funding programme, was able to offer Gymfinity Kids a sale and leaseback on the equipment purchased to help manage cashflow and increase cash reserves while the pandemic continued.
Our funding lines, such as ENABLE, give us the flexibility to define our own lending criteria. So at a time when mainstream lenders were holding back, we continued to support our existing customers with the funds required to support expansion plans.
