Fentrade Ltd, established in 2018, manufactures aluminium windows, bi-fold doors and commercial entrance systems for businesses.

As a start-up company, they knew that being able to provide high-volume, top quality products would be absolutely key to their growth. Managing Director, Chris Reeks, identified that Fentrade needed financing to invest in cutting edge machinery to allow the business to achieve its goals.

Fentrade had ambitious plans for expansion and UK wide distribution, but as a relatively new business, were concerned that traditional financiers wouldn’t be willing to help them fund the machinery they needed for the expansion. Fentrade approached specialist lender Propel Finance to advise on the most suitable finance for their needs. Propel were able to provide asset finance of £25.5k to enable Fentrade to buy the much-needed equipment and support Fentrade’s growth plans.

Propel’s funding capability, supported by British Business Bank’s ENABLE Funding Programme, enabled them to propose a financing solution for Fentrade that allowed them to invest in the right machinery for their needs, ensuring the business is well positioned for growth.

Chris Reeks, Managing Director, Fentrade Ltd said: “As a newly formed business, we were concerned we wouldn’t be able to get the funding, but the team at Propel Finance were great in explaining the different finance options available to us and really supported us through the decision-making process.”
