How did COVID-19 affect your business, and why did this mean you needed a loan from the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS)?
The business was facing a fall in its working capital as a result of reduced trading.
How did you find the application process?
Though we’d looked at the first iteration of the scheme, we didn’t apply until the point where the criteria had been relaxed somewhat. The process was fairly quick.
The COVID-19 pandemic has set back our growth plans. However, thanks to CBILS, we remain optimistic about the future and have identified several opportunities to support how we’ll grow the business over time. Nigel Wilkinson managing director of WNW Digital
What advice would you give to other businesses applying for a CBILS loan?
Give yourself plenty of time.
What do you think would have happened to your business if your application hadn’t been approved?
WNW Digital would have faced extreme financial hardship and all our plans for growing the business would have been delayed for quite some time.
