In February 2013, BIS published an economic evaluation of the Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) scheme.
The evaluation finds EFG is well targeted with low levels of deadweight and has generated a net benefit to the economy of £1.1bn from the 6,700 businesses that received an EFG loan in 2009. The report can be found on the Department for Business Innovation and Skills website.
