Business News Wales reports that BCRS Business Loans, one of the fund managers for the Bank’s Investment Fund for Wales, has provided more than £2m in loans to 34 businesses across Wales, creating 104 jobs and protecting a further 189, while providing more than £10.261 million of economic growth across the country.

A Cardiff-based provider of precision LED lighting for commercial greenhouses and vertical farms has secured £2.5m investment from private equity firm Foresight Group. The investment into Bloemteknik was made through the British Business Bank’s Investment Fund for Wales (IFW) and Foresight’s Growth VCTs. The backing has accelerated final development, testing, and commercial deployment, giving growers access to a technology that redefines lighting performance in controlled environment agriculture.
