Support from the Bank

WestBridge, a UK private equity firm focused on the lower-mid market, made a majority investment in Causeway Securities through its third Fund, WestBridge III in October 2024. The Bank has committed £34m to the fund through its Growth Equity mandate.

As part of the investment into Causeway Securities, the WestBridge Capital transaction team also took on two Board Director roles to oversee Causeway Securities’ growth initiatives and assist with market expansion.

Impact of funding: what has Causeway Securities gone on to do?

With the initial funding provided by WestBridge and British Business Bank, Causeway Securities has been able to accelerate its growth trajectory and expand its technology, offering and reaching new markets.

Following the investment, WestBridge has partnered with the Causeway team to execute core strategic growth initiatives, including geographical expansion. As a result, Causeway opened a New York office in Q4 2024 and a London office in Q1 2026. Causeway is planning to open four new office hubs during 2026 (Dublin, Lisbon, Dubai are in progress and Hong Kong is also pending), opportunities which are all supported by the WestBridge investment.

WestBridge also supported Causeway in the acquisition of Levendi Investment Management, a specialist in defined‑return strategies and liquid alternatives. The transaction significantly expands Causeway’s asset management division and ensures both companies continue delivering value, innovation and outstanding investment solutions to clients globally.

As a result of the investment made by WestBridge, Causeway is now a leading international distributor of structured products, employing c.40 staff across 4 continents and issuing over 2,500 structured solutions globally.
