Ranjit Solomon Interim Managing Director – Financial Analytics, Management & Strategy

Ranjit has over 20 years’ experience across the public sector including local government, NHS and central government both at department and arms-length body level. He joined the Bank in February 2025 to support the the Bank’s financial reform programme and SR25 negotiations. He was previously at HM Treasury as the deputy CFO where he transformed the finance function over the seven years he was there and established the best practice Financial Management model for Government Finance Function (GFF).

Ranjit has extensive experience in Business Partnering, Strategic Finance and Financial Analytics and has established and built these functions at the Bank since he joined. He is the Managing Director of Financial Analytics, Management and Strategy (FAMS), which is responsible for providing stewardship of the Bank’s financial position both in year and forward looking. This includes negotiating Spending Reviews, Business Planning, Board and Exco Reporting, Finance Business Partnering and Medium-Term Financial Planning.

Ranjit is a chartered accountant, recognised with CIPFA Fellowship for his experience, tenure, and contribution to public finance. He started with a degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Dundee and St Andrews in Scotland. He is a skilled leader having led large and complex multi-disciplinary, diverse, inclusive teams across numerous locations, he is passionate about the development of his teams and is a generous mentor and coach.
