Julia Bond OBE Non-executive Director

Julia is a seasoned Non-Executive Director with a breadth of board experience spanning FTSE 250, AIM-listed, government, and public purpose organisations. 

She currently serves on the boards of lmpax Asset Management, International Public Partnerships, and the UK Strategic Command (Ministry of Defence), where she contributes deep expertise in strategy, transformation, ESG, audit, risk, and remuneration. Her executive career includes two decades at Credit Suisse, where she led global fixed income businesses and advised some of the world's most influential public investors-including sovereign wealth funds and central banks. She brings commercial acumen, operational insight, and a strong understanding of regulated markets, having worked across Europe, Asia, and the US. Julia has chaired a range of board committees, including Audit, ESG, Remuneration, and Risk, and held NED roles with the NHS, FCDO, and ACCA. She is known for her ability to navigate complexity, drive accountability, and champion inclusive leadership. With a career at the intersection of finance, public service, and long-term impact, Julia offers independent judgement, strategic clarity, and a values-driven perspective-closely aligned with the mission of the British Business Bank to unlock opportunity and support sustainable growth.
