What we've done so far
In 2023, the British Business Bank launched a pilot supporting four female-led angel syndicates: Mint Ventures, Awaken Angels, Women Angels of Wales and Lifted Ventures. Investing Women Angels joined the programme in 2025. The full programme builds on evidence from the pilot that targeted support can recruit new investors, convert them into active angels and crowd in private capital.
By Q1 2026/27, participating syndicates had:
