Salary: Range circa £80,000 – £100,000 plus benefits package including 30 days holiday, 15 % employer’s pension contribution, life assurance, permanent health insurance and child care vouchers.

Role profile

THE ROLE

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for all marketing, communications, brand management and media relations for British Business Bank plc. This includes all online and social media activity, all internal and external communications and leading a team of 2/3 colleagues and managing an annual budget of circa £500,000.

Our Communications and Marketing team support the British Business Bank in providing effective and efficient communication and marketing activities to help deliver the organisation’s objectives. The team have responsibility for internal and external communications and marketing as well as our two websites, our intranet and regular communications for colleagues, stakeholders, partners and small businesses. As well as management of marketing agencies and marketing effectiveness evaluation, the team supports the business in delivering communication and marketing activities for the bank’s teams including branded materials, media and PR, corporate collateral, seminars, conferences, strategic partner collaboration and brand management. Achieving greater recognition of our brand and purpose enables us to attract more delivery partners and gives us greater access to channels to smaller businesses, helping to achieve our objectives more effectively.

ABOUT US

The British Business Bank is a unique and exciting new institution. Our objective is to make finance markets work better for UK small businesses. While 100% owned by the Government, we are managed independently under the governance of a board of directors. We have around £4bn of capital resources and operate as a wholesale institution in a wide range of financial services markets ranging from bank lending to venture capital. Currently, we employ around 100 people, split between our two offices in London and Sheffield.
