Information released under the Freedom of Information Act

As a public sector organisation, the British Business Bank is subject to the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act.  The Act gives individuals a right to request any recorded information held by a public authority.

If you would like to submit an FOI request, you can do so by emailing FOIrequests@british-business-bank.co.uk.  We aim to respond to all FOI requests within 20 working days, however in some cases we may need to extend this deadline, in order to consider the Public Interest Test.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original letter.

If you are not content with the outcome of an internal review you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office for a decision. Generally, the Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted our own complaints procedure. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: The Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow Cheshire SK9 5AF www.ico.gov.uk
