The British Business Bank is the largest domestic backer of Venture Capital funds in the UK. - In July 2021, Eka Ventures announced the final close of its first fund at £68m. The new fund is the largest impact-driven early stage venture capital fund focused on the UK to date.
- The British Business Bank was the cornerstone investor in Ada Ventures' debut fund of £35m. The fund was the Bank’s 30th ECF, focusing on supporting underrepresented founders.
- Redrice Ventures’ £50m digital-first premium consumer fund was closed in April 2021 with the BBB investing £30m. The new fund will target Britain’s luxury brand sector which is worth £48bn to the UK economy.
